DO YOU TAKE MY INSURANCE?
Pixel and Play Pediatric Therapy is a cash-based provider. Weekly invoices of services rendered as well as monthly itemized bills are available for clients who wish to submit individual claims to their insurance for reimbursement. Clients may also choose to use a HSA or FSA card to pay for Occupational Therapy services provided by Pixel and Play Pediatric Therapy. Fee for service rates are provided during your complimentary, 15-minute initial phone call.
ARE ALL SESSIONS 100% VIRTUAL?
Both occupational therapy and developmental wellness services offered out of our virtual clinic are conducted 100% through our HIPAA-compliant, video conferencing software! This includes initial evaluations, testing as well as regular treatment sessions. Client families enjoy regular communication with their child's therapist, steps to preparing for each individual session and access to a personal client portal. Your therapist will implement many of the same evaluation and treatment strategies they would in an outpatient setting- just in a manner that is most convenient for you and your family!
WILL YOU COMMUNICATE WITH MY CHILD'S TEACHER?
Sure! The more hands on deck to further a child’s developmental experience, the better! Provided written permission from the child’s parent/caregiver, your therapist will work with you to determine how to best communicate with your child’s teacher. Additional fees may apply.
DO YOU PROVIDE SERVICES TO STUDENTS IN MY STATE?
Pixel and Play Pediatric Therapy is licensed to provide comprehensive occupational therapy (OT) services to clients in Florida and Oklahoma. If you do not reside in one of these states but are interested in other concierge developmental services we provide, please visit our "Our Services" page and select "Developmental Wellness Program" to learn more!
DO I NEED A PRESCRIPTION FROM MY PEDIATRICIAN?
Nope! Due to our cash-based payment structure, your child is able to engage in skilled occupational therapy and developmental wellness services without a prescription! Copies of initial evaluations, treatment notes and progress reports may be shared with your child’s pediatrician provided written permission from a child’s guardian.
HOW LONG ARE INITIAL EVALUATIONS AND TREATMENT SESSIONS?
Great question! You can expect your child's initial occupational therapy evaluation at Pixel and Play to last about 60 minutes. These evaluations are followed by a comprehensive written report and complimentary review of your child's findings. Regular treatment sessions are scheduled for 30, 45 or 60 minutes durations each week!
WHAT MATERIALS WOULD WE NEED TO IN VIRTUAL SESSIONS?
In order for your child to engage fully in our virtual clinic, they will need to have reliable access to both the internet as well as to a computer with a webcam. Additional therapy items (i.e. items utilized during therapy sessions) may be found in and around your home already! As part of your initial paperwork, you will complete a checklist to determine the therapy “tool box” you already have! This will aid your therapist in creating sessions unique to your child.
WHAT IS PARENT INVOLVEMENT LIKE?
Parent involvement is encouraged! The best sessions are often those facilitated by an active and present adult.
